The SX and HD spindles are spindles for spiral binding. They have the characteristic of having replaceable bearings and can be used for both rubber and spandex applications. The SX spindles are suitable for the processing of finer titles, they allow to reach speeds up to 27,000 RPM and mount smaller spools.
HD spindles are structurally heavier spindles suitable for larger spools, reaching speeds up to 18,000 RPM.
The A-HS fixed-rod spindle is ideal for covering larger yarn counts. It can be fitted with centres between 5″1/2 and 7″1/2. This spindle has the advantage that the core yarn passage is non-rotating, which means that the spandex does not take on any twisting effect when contacted.
Spindles model R4 and R5 are now also available, which can accommodate 5″ 1/2 and 6″ 1/2 centres. They too can be used for processing spandex and rubber and are manufactured with replaceable bearings.
The R14 spindle is structurally coarser; it can reach 12,000 RPM and is suitable for larger spools.
The range of titles that can be used on each spindle model varies according to the specific production requirements.
